The Ultimate Batman Party Game Ideas!!!

Where can we find batman party game ideas?

To the Bat Cave!!!

But now what are we going to do in the Bat Cave? This is kind of boring…

Stop worrying, Robin, I have found a list of exciting games that we can play.

This list of games is growing everyday, so check back often. Or if you figure out a new "Batman" themed game, please send it in so we can share it with the rest of the world.

Before we get started I have listed a few survival tips to help your party run smoother:

First, make sure you select games you think your child will love and pick some back-ups, just in case. Next, setup a schedule of events before the party on which games will be played, what order and a time limit. Finally, don’t forget the “fun” factor in the party. Not every child is going to win every event, so make sure each event is designed to be “fun”, “loud” and “enjoyable”.

Hopefully these tips will help reduce your party stress and allow you to enjoy the party. So have fun at the Ultimate Party!

Oh yeah, don’t forget the camera!!!

* Freeze Dance: If you have designated an area of the party for the Batcave or Gotham City, that will make the perfect setting for a game of Freeze Dance or Freeze Tag. The Batman soundtrack would thrill the little caped crusaders. Don’t be shocked when you notice the boys love to dance as much as the girls. But watch out, because those kids will love to add a few air kicks and punches to their dance steps.

* Evil Stompers: To setup this Ultimate game, insert small pieces of wrapped candy into Balloons before inflating them. Tell the kids that the balloons are “bad guys”…Two-Face, Joker, Riddler, Bane, Penguin, etc. Encourage them to stomp the bad guys by popping the balloons. For an evil twist, don’t let them use their hands in round two…The Reward you ask??? The candy from the balloons they pop!!!

* Balloon Chaser: Want a game that the children will love and remember for months after the party? Before the party, fill up about 4-5 balloons with water per child. Have the father, or another individual, pose as your child’s favorite villain. Have the children pelt him with the balloons as he runs around snarling at them. Only one person gets wet…and ultimately the villain is defeated.

* Lost Treasure: Because Batman is the thinking man’s superhero, create a paper trail of clues or riddles to lead the capture of the goods (piñata) the Riddler has stolen. Here is a great Piñata that will fit this game perfectly. And after they find it, let them hack away at it until the candy flies everywhere.

* Super Hero Obstacle Course: Every Batman at the party can challenge their “Bat Skills” as they try to make their way through an obstacle course! This activity is best done outside or in a large room. Use household items such as chairs, pillows, sleeping bags, or anything you can find to create a challenging course. Old tires, logs, bicycles, ropes, tools, and sports equipment from the garage can help make the course full of adventure! If you wish, keep track of everyone’s time and award prizes to every child.

* Batcave Bombers: Before the party, decorate a large cardboard box with brown, black or grey construction paper so it resembles the Batcave. Make paper airplanes for each guest out of the construction paper, or let them fold their own “Batplanes.” Turn the box on its side so the opening is facing the guests. Mark an “X” on the floor with tape. Challenge each guest to fly their Batplane into the Batcave, while standing on the X.

* Unlock the Batmobile: Before the party, make a side-view drawing of the Batmobile on a large piece of paper or poster board. Make the door handle and keyhole large enough to be obvious to your guests. Cut out a cardboard key for each guest and attach a piece of tape to the back. Explain to your guests that the object of the game is to place their key closest to the keyhole in order to unlock the Batmobile. Blindfold each guest in turn, and spin them three times. When they are facing the Batmobile, let them go. Award a prize to the child who is closest.

* Pin the bat on the Riddler: This is game is similar to the Pin the Tail on the Donkey Game. Check out our Ultimate Batman Posters for some ideas on what could be used as the “Donkey.” If you choose the Riddler poster, cut out bats for the children to pin on the poster. You can choose whatever character you feel best fits your theme. Just remember, the kids will love this game. Keep reading for more batman party game ideas!

* Accurate Turn: Put a chair or stool on the playground. The player who wants to participate in this game sits down on the chair. Then he/she is blindfolded. After that he/she stands up, makes 5 steps forward, turns to the right, makes 5 more steps forward and again turns to the right. On having walked the perimeter of the playground in this way, the player stops and sits down on the chair again. The player who manages to do it wins the game.

* Jonathan's Party Games: Once all guests arrived, each child was given one end of a string of yarn. The yarn was woven around furniture, in & out cabinet doors, etc. around the house. The child had to follow the "trail" left behind by the criminal. At the end of the trail (yarn) was a clue as to where the criminal would be. For example, the trail for the Joker ended at a clue that said "I like to play jokes on other folks then hide when I am able. So get down on your hands and knees and look under the dining room table."  The child would then go to where the clue led them. I hid another clue at that spot (ex. next clue for Joker was "You'd thought I'd be here, but I'm not! I played a joke on you again. Go look in the pantry inside the house to see my sinister grin!"  At the next location, they found a card with the villain's picture on it with the word "CAPTURED" stamped across it in big red letters. Once the child found the villain, they brought it to me (the jail keeper). I took their picture holding the card and then put it back into jail (an empty shoe box painted white with bars). I had about 10 villains with clues & poems made up so each child could chase after their own criminal. (Their mom or dad helped them read the clues and decipher them).

* Pauls' Party Games: When the officer walked in he told the kids that Commissioner Gordon had sent him to wish Landon a Happy Birthday and that he had Batman and Robin on the job of finding the birthday cake. The police officer told the kids that they were about to be trained as superhero's so they too could help find the missing birthday cake. The officer said that he was sent to talk to the kids about how a superhero should act, obeying, sharing, being respectful, etc. When he finished his talk, much to the kids surprise Batman and Robin came running in. They called Landon to the front of the room and said that they were here to train the party goers to a special superhero training so they to could help find the cake.  At this point the kids walked through the Gotham City entrance and found a room lit with black lights and clouded with a light fog (provided by a time delayed fog machine). Prior to the party I had arranged with a local toddler gymnastics teacher to borrow several pieces of her gymnastics equipment (mainly mats, wedges,a mini trampoline, etc) to lay out in Gotham City to use for our superhero training.  Under the black lights the gymnastics equipment glowed in the dark and made the room really look like a cave.  My husband used a small garage spotlight with a bat taped over the lens and shined it on the wall to look like the bat signal was being shown in the sky. Once inside Gotham City , my husband had cut from large sheets of card board the city sky line and painted it black, they outlined it with Christmas lights. Entering Gotham City was the highlight of the party!!  At this point Batman and Robin proceeded to show the little superhero's using the gymnastics equipment what kinds of things a superhero should. They covered things like rolling, jumping, climbing up wedges, scooting through a mesh tunnel- it was great fun and the kids loved climbing around with batman and robin.  Once all of the kids had an opportunity to use all the pieces of equipment we left Gotham City and went back into the party room where batman and robin awarded all of the children with a superhero certificate of achievement and a bat cape.  So, all of the kids were split up into four teams (lead by a parent) and lead on a scavenger hunt around the room for the cake.  Each group at the end of there scavenger hunt trail ended up with a wrapped gift that they brought back to robin who was waiting. Once all four gifts were recovered robin unwrapped them to find different parts of the party (ex. party hats, dessert plates, napkins, candles), but Robin declared, "we still don't have a birthday cake", at that moment in walked batman carrying the birthday cake with the lit candles and started singing happy birthday to Landon.  The cake had finally been found by my son's hero, batman!!
