*Musical Tiaras: Here is an updated version of “Musical Chairs”. Start by placing tiaras on a table (one less than the number of guests) that the guests must walk around while the music is playing. When the music stops, the children must place a tiara on their head. Whoever doesn’t have a tiara is out. Continue the game with one less crown until there is one child remaining. Give out the tiaras as party favors.

*Barbie Baskets: This is a very simple and fun game. Start out by spray painting five containers (coffee cans are excellent). Number the can 1 through 5 (for points). Make a line on the ground where the children will stand behind. Place the cans equal distances away from the line (3 ft, 6 ft, 9 ft, 12 ft, 15ft). Give each child five of the same colored stones. Have the children take turns tossing stones at the containers. Whoever has the most points wins!

*Unwrap the Gift: Purchase a present from the store. Wrap it up in a box. Wrap the box up in another box. Keep doing this until you have about 5 boxes until the present is opened. Sit the children down in a circle. Start playing music and have the children pass the present around. When the music stops, whoever is holding the present gets to unwrap one layer. Continue passing and unwrapping the present until a child unwraps the last box and exposes the gift, which they get to keep as a prize.

*Find the Barbie: First, make sure you have enough Barbie’s as guests. As you are reading the directions, just remember that each child could be searching for their own Barbie or they can work as a team.. Hide each Barbie throughout the party area, remembering where each Barbie is. Pick a starting point in the party area where the girls will start. Place clues in the area leading to where the Barbie is. For example, let’s say they are starting in the kitchen. The child’s first clue could be, “Finding the next clue not a hard job, just remember it’s on the bathroom doorknob.” The child would run to the bathroom doorknob to find another clue. This clue could read, “I know the floor you stand on is quite stable, but run down to the kitchen table.” You would continue this until the child found the Barbie. Once again, you can either do these clues for each child or once for a team. It depends on how much time you want to put into this game.

*Fashion Show: There are two options for dressing the girls up in their glamorous gowns. First, on the invitation you can tell them to dress in their best gowns or you can provide them with some clothes at the party. Either way, this game is a lot of fun. Start by making a runway out of butcher paper or whatever else you have in the house. Have the girls, one at a time, walk down the runway showing off their favorite clothes. This would be a great time to take pictures or videotape them and include a picture of them in the Thank-you Notes. The girls will love this Activity!!!
