We decided to have the party at home since there weren’t a lot of people coming.

I wanted to start this party right by designing a great invitation. On the front it read: Bippity Boppity Boo, Our Princess is Turning 2! On the inside it read: Dainty slippers, a precious face, A special event is taking place! Please join us in celebrating Elizabeth ’s 2nd Birthday! The royal celebration shall begin at 1 o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday the 16 th of March at the ____ Castle.

I decorated the house with a lot of Disney paraphernalia. I used her princess dolls and toys, tied balloons around the party area, put candles on the entertainment center and used pink table clothes for the tables.

I chose to purchase the Disney Princess Ball Party ware. It wasn’t very much and looked great.

Food: I concocted up this great meal called the Witch’s Brew. It consisted of homemade vegetable soup and homemade potato soup. There was also homemade chicken salad and homemade pimento cheese sandwiches and kids favorite, chicken nuggets.
Cake: I made my own cake for this party. I baked a 9x13 cake and topped it with vanilla icing. I sprinkled a small amount of green sugar crystals to make it sparkle and added a chocolate path leading to a castle. I purchased the castle from the local dollar store. I also added a few Disney characters she already had.

As each child arrives they will receive a tiara, lights and sound wand and a beaded necklace and bracelet. The kids loved these gifts and was a great start to a great party. I also gave the children markers, lipstick, lip gloss and other miscellaneous items. I put these items into a paper sack that I decorated with stickers.

My daughter has always been a fan of “finding” things, so I decided to try and have a scavenger hunt throughout the house. To make it a little easier, I put a picture of a princess in front to the item they were supposed to find. That way, I would tell them to go look for Ariel and they would go search the house until they did. Each station had a different prize for each of them to keep. It was a lot of fun and they did better than I thought they would have.

When each child arrived at the party, I took a picture of them with all their new stuff. I sent a picture of them in the Thank You Card we sent out.
